The poll was conducted on a national representative sample of 1518 females in the age group 18+ during the period from April 4th to April 14th, 2020, with the aim of measuring the effect of COVID-19 on women's lives. When she was 10 years old, Ahmed’s life was turned upside down, after she and her sister were tricked by their family into undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM) at the hands of a doctor at home. Since that traumatizing experience, their lives have never been the same, and they feel they cannot lead a normal life anymore.
